Steel-making Condition:
1. EAF: Electric Furnace+LF+VD(Optional) |
2. ESR: Electric Furnace+LF+VD+Eleroslag Remelted(Optional) |
Delivery Condition:
Annealed , Quenched + Tempered
Surface Condition:
Black, Grinded, Peeled, Rough turned, Polished
Features:
1. 1.3255 tool steel is high charcoal and chromium tool steel, have high penetration, small distortion,
2. high rigidity, good endurance.
3. high toughness, and easy grinding.
Heat Treatment:
1.Quench: 950-980`C cold oil(need re-preheat~500`C-850`C)HRC≥60 |
2.Eliminate stress, stabilize framework tempering, (180-200`C)≥2 hours HRC60-62 |
3.If it is necessary, it could be changed into 320-350`C≥2 hours backfire HRC≥60-62 |
4.Annealing: 780-800`C slow cooling |
Hardness: MAX 229HB
Applications:
1.Cold pressing mold extrusion with low pressing and burden, imprint mold, cold cutting scissor
2.For making all kinds of complex high precision cutting tool, such as forming milling cutter, precision broach, etc,
3. can be used for precision of all kinds of high hardness, high toughness, wear-resistant metal cold punching die.
High speed tool steel comprises a set of tool steel alloys named for their capacity to cut materials faster than traditional high-carbon steels previously used in cutting tools.
*High alloy content, primarily tungsten or molybdenum, with lesser amounts of chromium, vanadium and cobalt;
*High carbon content-a minimum of 0.65% by weight, but commonly anywhere from 0.8% to 1.5% carbon content;
*Rockwell hardness of at least 64 HRC at room temperature;
*A heat treatment process that produces a high quantity of complex metallic carbides-chiefly tungsten, molybdenum and vanadium carbides-suspended in a steel substrate, which results in hardness and wear resistance.
